Do you prescribe controlled substances?
We prescribe some controlled substances (e.g. phentermine). We do not prescribe opioids for pain, nor do we prescribe benzodiazepines (e.g. Xanax, Valium) for anxiety. We also do not prescribe amphetamines for ADHD. If you need a controlled substance and are unsure if we will prescribe it, please email us, and we will let you know.
Can I use a HSA or FSA card to pay?
Yes! We accept health savings account (HSA) and flexible spending account (FSA) card payments.
Do you take insurance?
We do not bill insurance companies. We can give you a receipt / superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
When and how do I pay for my visit?
See our prepayment policy. You can pay with a credit/debit card, HSA card, or FSA card. All transactions are done through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
Do you treat patients outside of Texas?
We only treat Texas residents and people who are visiting Texas
How do I get you my medical records?
If you have the records, you can fax them to 506-700-6425. If you would like us to request records, we will send you an email with a medical release form you can sign with your phone.

How long will my prescription(s) be written for?
Your prescription(s) will be written long enough to last you until your expected follow-up. Please see what we treat for specifics on when you will be expected to follow-up. If your condition is not listed, please email us, and we will let you know.
Can I get labs through you if I am not a patient?
No. We only order labs on patients.
Can you order radiology studies (X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, etc.)?
Yes, we can order radiology studies at any radiology practice. Many radiology practices offer affordable pricing for cash-pay patients. Medmo is one example.
What is your policy on antibiotics?
Please be sure to read our policy on antibiotics for each of the following conditions before making an appointment.
Do you do referrals?
We can advise you on what type of specialist you may need to see, but we do not do referrals for health insurance plans. Insurance companies require that referrals come from doctors on their plans, and we are not on any plans.
Do you fill out paperwork for disability, jury duty, handicap tags, FMLA, work/school absence, or any other similar matters?
Typically no, but there are some cases where it may be appropriate. If you need some type of paperwork filled out, please email us and find out if we can help you before making an appointment.
