Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?
I do not bill insurance companies. I can give you a receipt / superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

I only treat Texas residents and people who are visiting Texas
How do I get you my medical records?
If you have the records, you can fax them to 506-700-6425. If you would like to email them to us, send an email without the records to stating that you want to send us records. We will instruct you on what to do next. This way we can ensure that the connection is secure. If you would like us to request your records, please fill out our medical release form. After you print it and sign it, you can email or fax it back to us.
Do you prescribe controlled substances?
On January 31, 2020, the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services declared a public health emergency for the COVID-19 situation. This made it legal for doctors to prescribe controlled substances over telemedicine. When the emergency ends, it is unclear what will happen, but current laws outside of this exception do not allow for the prescribing of controlled substances over telemedicine.

Most insomnia medications (e.g. Ambien) are controlled substances, and I will prescribe those. I can also prescribe pregabalin (Lyrica). I do not prescribe opiate pain medications, carisoprodol (Soma), tramadol (Ultram), benzodiazepines (e.g. Valium, Xanax), or amphetamines (e.g. Adderall). If you are unsure about whether or not I will prescribe a medication you are taking, please email me.
